The steady-state heat flux meter (GHFM-02) follows the standard method ASTM E1530-19 and is used to test the thermal resistance and thermal conductivity of solids such as metals, polymers, and composite materials. The GHFM-02, which is easy to operate, adopts a reliable steady-state method and adds a protective cover to limit the impact of lateral heat loss. According to this method, the sample is heated by a constant hot plate. The heat flow is transferred from the hot plate to the sample and then to the lower cold plate, and the thermal conductivity of the sample is obtained through the temperature gradient.
GHFM-02 is equipped with a standard 50.8mm (2-inch) diameter sample opening to allow testing of metals, polymers, and composite materials. The sample thickness can reach 25.4 millimeters (1 inch). In general, the temperature difference from the top to the bottom of the sample is set to 20 ° C to 30 ° C. Enter the temperature points Tu, TL, and TH into the GHFM software to automatically calculate the thermal resistance and calibrate the thermal conductivity calculation results. The basic GHFM-02 is calibrated to calculate thermal conductivity from a thermal resistance range of 0.0032 to 0.10 0.1270 m2K/W. An additional calibration range of 0.08 allows testing from 0.00007 to 0.25 m2K/W.
